The Septin9 test is the only certified and approved test that can be conducted as a first step in colorectal cancer early detection using a simple blood draw. The Septin9 test is a high quality and convenient alternative to other non-invasive methods (e. g. stool-based tests); it should not replace colonoscopy which is still the most accurate method for colorectal cancer screening.
The Septin9 test result indicates if there exists an increased likelihood of having colorectal cancer. Regularly reassessing one's current risk of colorectal cancer will help track changes in risk over time – an essential element in personalized health management.
