Cookies
We use cookies on our websites. Cookies are small text files that can be stored and read on your end device. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session. Cookies can contain data that makes it possible to recognize the device used. In some cases, however, cookies only contain information on certain settings that cannot be related to a specific person.
We use session cookies on our websites. The processing is based on Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR and in the interest of optimizing user guidance.
You can set your browser so that it informs you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time via the corresponding browser setting and prevent the setting of new cookies. Please note that our web pages may then not be optimally displayed and some functions may no longer be technically available.

You have the possibility to contact us by electronic mail, telephone or via our contact form from this website. We will use the contact form to collect your e-mail address and your message. You can enter your name, your company, your telephone number and the information as to whether you are a patient, physician or laboratory on voluntary basis. Your data will only be used to answer your request. Your data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to process your request. The legal basis for the use of your data is Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in being in contact with the users of the website and in answering any questions you may have or sending you information. Your data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes. As a rule, we delete your request two weeks after final answering of your request.
Use of service providers
Epigenomics engages third parties to provide services and process your data (so-called order processing). The service providers process the data exclusively as instructed by Epigenomics and are obliged to comply with the applicable data protection regulations. All processors have been carefully selected and will only have access to your data to the extent and for the period necessary to perform the services.
Duration of data storage
We only store your data for as long as it is necessary for the provision of our services and there are no retention periods to prevent deletion.
Your rights as a user
As a user, you have the right to request information as to which data about you is stored by us and for what purpose it is stored. In addition, you can correct incorrect data or have such data deleted whose storage is inadmissible or no longer necessary. You have the right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR. In addition, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority about the data processing taking place. If you have given us your consent, you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future.

You have the right, for reasons arising from your particular situation, to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you pursuant to Article 21 of the GDPR, in particular on the basis of Article 6 (1) (e) or (f) of the GDPR. We will stop processing your personal data unless we can prove compelling reasons for processing worthy of protection which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
